There are several important dates both tutors and delegates have during their time together. The first meeting, where we both size each other - will the tutor be painful? Will the delegate be demanding? Then hand-in deadlines, will they be met? And then results day!!

The day results are published is a magical day for everyone, perhaps there is some disappointment but there is still magic in the air. I must admit to getting a thrill out of receiving emails from delegates who are delighted with their results. One today read "I just wanted to thank you for your precious help and support when I was working on the assignment." That word "precious" is worth a day out at the zoo, it really was meant sincerely I received it with pleasure. The delegate in this case achieved a top grade. Another did not do so well, but I still received an email, this time "Thank you so much for all you input and support. Oh and thank for your lectures, I must say they must have been the funniest and most interesting I have ever had." I hope my boss sees that humour helps memory and engagement! To all delegates, enjoy your results day. If you are disappointed then take a deep breath, seek the support of those around you and prepare for the next round. You are good and you know you are good!
