Gartner’s always-fascinating technology hype cycle has been published for 2010.

A few emerging technologies which are reassuring by their predictability include Augmented Reality shown almost at the peak of inflated expectations, 3D TV

and Cloud Computing at the peak, while Microblogging (Twitter etc) is heading rapidly for the trough of disillusionment.

It's good to see Speech Recognition at last reaching the plateau.

Terahertz Waves (think body scanners) is a new entry, while Surface Computers seems to have disappeared into oblivion.
